Detox is a way to give up the DIET!
Enjoy Healthy Detox Desserts.
If you are one of those people who just cannot resist dessert, no worries.
Ditching the Diet mentality is the key to long lasting weight loss results. But, if we are living in the diet mode, often there are days where the human mind just cannot say no. Let’s talk eating healthy without any deprivation.
Why live on a diet counting calories and worrying about the food you are consuming every minute?
For me, I was able to ditch the diet when I found what foods were making me bloated. Detox was the answer.
When I did an elimination diet, like this here : http://detox.rachelswellness.com/landing/fall-detox/, I was able to see what foods were right for me and the dieting ended.
I have taught this to hundreds of people and watched them lose weight without counting calories and dwelling on fats.
Calorie counting is old school and ancient and honestly, it does not work. What really works is finding what foods jump-start your metabolism and eliminating what foods are slowing down your metabolism. When you detox with me, this is exactly what we do – jump-start, renew and recharge your body.
True Transformation occurs when we release the diet mentality and allow our body to enjoy the sweetness of life.
Detox is about treating your body.
Every detox I create involves dessert because I am not about deprivation.
Dessert is a way to treat yourself and free your mind of the diet.
When you give the body what it craves, all the diet books and perfect diet plans fade away.
You can enjoy these sweet desserts without any guilt and that means safe, healthy and effective weight loss.
- The Banana boat: 1⁄2 banana (sliced lengthwise) with 1 teaspoon sun butter smeared over it, 1 tablespoon of raw cacao sprinkles & a few raisins or goji berries.
- Baked apple: slice an apple & mix with cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, & a pinch of sugar. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes & add 2 tablespoons of coconut cream (this is the top of the canned coconut milk; it actually it like a cream or feel free to have your baked apple with ½ glass of warmed coconut milk & add stevia to sweeten). You can stuff the inside of the apple with goji berries or black currants for a sweeter treat.
- Berry Sorbet: 1⁄2 cup frozen berries, 3⁄4 cup unsweetened coconut milk, 1 tablespoon ground chia seeds, 10 drops of stevia, 1⁄2 tsp vanilla extract, 1⁄4 teaspoon almond extract, squeeze of lemon juice. Blend in a high powered blender, then put in a container and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Fat Blasting Night Drink aka Coconut Milk Crème—1 cup coconut milk, warmed, with nutmeg, cinnamon, stevia & a cinnamon stick to stir.
Enjoy the sweetness of life without counting one single calorie.
