Black Bean Gluten Free Brownies

It is a holiday weekend around here and that means lots of treats. But, when I eat lots of treats my sugars levels and my brain go wonky. Plus, have you ever seen kids who eat too much sugar… bouncing off the walls right?

There is no reason to go without when you can make “healthy brownies”.

I found this recipe from Josh Axe a while back and I make them on a regular basis. I added a few personal touches like more fat. This gluten free and low sugar recipe is awesome, not to mention loaded with good fats and protein.

Black Bean Gluten Free Brownies RECIPE

You need:

1 can black beans
1/2 cup cocoa
4 tablespoons extra-virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup birch tree xylitol
2 level teaspoon stevia powder
2 tablespoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons cinnamon
3 large free range eggs
1/2 cup gluten-free flour
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sunflower seeds

Blend all ingredients together and then pour ingredients into a pan. Grease pan with coconut oil and bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

Consume and try not to eat every brownie (that seems to be my problem).
