Cilantro Chelation Pesto
Considering that I had heavy metal poisoning, this is a very important topic for me. So many people in this world have metals and they do not even know it. How do we get them? We breathe, eat and touch so many toxins daily. We use make-up that is made with aluminum and other toxins. We use household cleaners that are filled with toxins. We eat foods that are not clean and our bodies are forced to deal with the toxins Basically, we walk out the door and we breathe toxins. We live in a toxic world. Every person is forced to detoxify these heavy metals but for some people, due to genetics, age or inability to detoxify properly, our bodies hold onto heavy metals. When our bodies hold onto heavy metals, our bodies then create yeast to protect it’s organs from the heavy metals.
When there is a toxic overload in the intestines, this sets the stage for leaky gut because there is a lack of oxygen, due to the heavy metals creating an acidic environment, candida/bacteria and other gut bugs thrive. As the candida and bacteria bind to the heavy metals in an attempt to protect itself from the heavy metal poisoning, more leaky gut occurs and then heavy metal poisoning becomes rampant. Heavy metal poisoning is a major cause of hormonal imbalances, cancer, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression, food allergies, gut dysbiosis, skin problems etc.

Cilantro Chelation Pesto
- 4 cloves garlic 1/3 cup Brazil nuts (selenium)
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds (cysteine)
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds (zinc, magnesium)
- 2 cups packed fresh cilantro (coriander, Chinese parsley) (vitamin A)
- 2/3 cup flaxseed oil
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice (vitamin C)
- 2 tsp dulse powder
- Sea salt to taste
Process the cilantro and flaxseed oil in a blender until the coriander is chopped. Add the garlic, nuts and seeds, dulse and lemon juice and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste. Add a pinch to sea salt to taste and blend again. Store in a mason jar.
I love consuming two teaspoons of this pesto daily for a healthy and natural way to chelate mercury, lead, and aluminum. By adding this great pesto, you are removing any heavy metals your body has acquired from daily life and improving your health!
