How to Get Out of Imposter Syndrome

It’s your girl Rachel here, sippin’ on a green juice –– and I just gotta tell you about how to break through imposter syndrome and step into your power!

So, I wanted to chat with you about something that has been a thorn in my side for a while—imposter syndrome.

Honestly, it still pops up now and then, making me worry, doubt myself, and wonder if I’m really cut out for whatever my focus is at the time.

But you know what? We’ve got the power to beat it, health coach homie!

Let me spill the chamomile tea on what’s been working for me.

First, let’s keep it real—we might never completely get rid of imposter syndrome.

But here’s the secret: we can kick its butt every single day.

How? Well, I’ll tell you!

One thing that has been a game-changer for me is using daily mantras and affirmations.

Trust me, it’s like pumping yourself up in the mirror before a big game. Start your day by telling yourself awesome stuff like, “I’m a rockstar health coach” or “I’ve got what it takes to build my dream business.” It might sound a bit cheesy, but these positive self-talk sessions really work wonders for your mindset.

Now, here’s another trick up my sleeve – positive vibes all the way!

I’m talking about watching motivational YouTube videos (like Mel Robbins) or listening to podcasts that lift you up. Find those creators who make you feel like you can conquer the world.

And hey, don’t forget about good old books!

Grab a mindset or personal development book that speaks to you. Trust me, reading can ignite a fire in your belly and challenge those negative thoughts.

Oh, and we can’t forget about meditation. Take a few minutes each day to sit back, relax, and let your mind unwind. It’s all about being present in the moment and letting go of all that stress. Meditation is like a reset button for your mind and can help you find clarity and peace amidst the chaos.

Next, I want to share a little exercise with you that can make a difference.

It’s called the write-and-burn method. Grab your journal and pour out all those imposter syndrome thoughts—every worry, fear, and doubt. Don’t hold back. Just let it all out on paper. Then, take that journal outside and set it on fire (safely, of course!).

Watch as those negative thoughts turn into ashes and disappear into thin air. It’s symbolic of letting go and reclaiming your power, my friend.

Here’s what I do to keep my head up…

  • Start my day with mindfulness, like meditating or deep breathing to reduce stress.
  • Take breaks to recharge, like going for a run or a walk.
  • Hitting my infrared sauna.
  • Write in a journal to process my thoughts and focus on gratitude.
  • Get inspired by listening to motivating podcasts, talks or YouTube vids.
  • Make time for self-care, like reading or chilling outside. (Some days I hit the spa!)
  • Set goals and boundaries to avoid burnout and focus on what matters.
  • I am no longer afraid to say no if it doesn’t fit my vibe.

And here’s the ultimate truth bomb for you: you are a kickass, smart health coach!

Seriously, don’t ever forget that.

You’ve got the skills, knowledge, and passion to create the health coaching business of your dreams.

Those nagging thoughts? Well, they can take a hike because you’re meant for greatness.

You’ve got this. I’m here for you every step of the way.
