For many years breakfast was not something I looked forward to because of my own digestive woes until I discovered smoothies. Smoothies are an ideal way to consume foods that typically your body may have trouble digesting. I have found smoothies, loaded with fiber and good probiotics, essential for my own health.
Kefir has amazing health benefits and is loaded with good bacteria, which is important for reducing toxicity in the body, liver health, immune health and optimal digestion.
- Coconut milk kefir – homemade Kefir has 65+ strains of good bacteria.
- Water kefir has about 30 different beneficial microbial strains.
- Commercial store-bought kefir has about 10 different beneficial microbial strains, more than most bottled, store-bought probiotics.
You can use coconut milk, coconut water kefir, water kefir, goat milk or milk kefir for this recipe.

I added 1/2 cup spinach to my smoothie for an extra boost of natural iron. Plus, I added coconut water for hydration. This smoothie is the perfect breakfast smoothie for anyone looking to ditch the bloat, eat healthy, consume live bacteria in the most tasty way and eat a nutrient dense and delicious breakfast.
