Enjoy the show!

In Today’s Episode:

[02:21] Sonja is a master web designer and a landing page and sales page designer too.

[03:12] You should stay where you are unless you need to move to another platform because it is going to serve you and help you make more money.

[04:06] First, you need a third-party email service.

[04:56] Once you choose your tool, stick with it, and really learn it.

[05:20] You need to use a professional email.

[07:52] To set up a professional email, first, you need to buy your domain. Sonja recommends Siteground or Namecheap.

[09:24] You want to get a Tax ID, but you don’t need hosting yet.

[10:22] Sonja recommends the CRM ConvertKit. It is a great way to start if you are new or running a million-dollar business.

[12:19] You can build and grow your business on ConvertKit without leaving that platform.

[12:46] If she had ConvertKit and no website, she would sign up for Leadpages. Leadpages is a service that provides opt-in pages, landing pages, and other pages so you can start list building from the beginning.

[14:47] A freebie is a free opportunity for your ideal client to come in and get a sneak peek of what it would be like to work with you.

[16:57] If you don’t know have another platform then definitely go on Leadpages and start building your list. If you do have a platform like WordPress, but you are not comfortable building your own sales pages, freebies, or lead magnets you can also use Leadpages.

[17:37] If you are comfortable with your website platform then learn how to build your own pages and most do offer ready-made templates. Leadpages is great if you have trouble with your chosen platform.

[19:58] In your infancy you want to keep your cost down. It is a lot to build a business.

[20:18] Look at tools that you can start with, but that you can also carry through as you level up.

[21:14] There is not this one perfect platform. If you are with something and it works, continue to use it. Only move when it doesn’t work.

[23:24] You need to start learning to be organized from the get-go. Sonja recommends Google Drive and Dropbox.

[25:10] Trello, Asana, and Teamwork are all great ways to get organized.
[25:34] You will need a way for people to make appointments with you like Calendly or Acuity Scheduling.

[27:32] Calendly and Acuity both offer a way to accept payment for one on one calls, but that is an upgraded feature that requires a paid account.

[28:15] The bonus tool that you have to master is Canva.

[29:51] Don’t spend too much money when you start out. Be strategic on what you really need to build your business.

[30:28] Use different option-in freebies for your niches and test them.

[34:28] Make sure the people you are hiring understand the wellness brand because it is different from other businesses.

[37:17] Don’t fall for the shiny object.

[38:02] A business is not built in one day.

[38:38] Use the free tools that are available to you.

[39:32] Social media is for sharing not selling.

[40:38] Use the free tools that are available to you.

[41:42] Get clear on your offers and your list building strategy.  Know your niche and ideal client.  Spend the time on your foundation because once you nail your foundation you can always use the advanced strategies.
