3 Ways to Build Your Health Coaching Business

Hey, health coach!

How does your calendar look? Empty? How is your health coaching business?

Are you still struggling trying to snag clients for even a free health discovery session?

As a business coach, I hear my clients tell me all the time how hard they have tried to get clients – but it isn’t working for them. Business is slow, and they are craving to live out their passion all while earning an income they deserve. It’s a struggle I know all too well.

Did I ever tell you my first year out of nutrition school I made only $13,000?

Seriously. I don’t think any person, especially a momma like myself can survive off of $13,000.

I did everything I could, short of enrolling into more schools for business promising to get me to 6 figures if I just laid out 2k for their system. I wanted to join the in crowd, and I wanted to believe the promises – but truly 2k was just not in the cards for me. I was broke.

The one thing I was born rich with was and still remains, is P-A-S-S-I-O-N.

I’m not going to sell you on any promises, but I will share with you today is how I went from 13k in my first year to what I make now.

Are you ready for this? It’s pretty simple, but I promise this does work without costing you one single penny.

Tip #1. Understand that humans are emotional. When someone looks to hire someone they do so because of how they make them feel. What emotion do you leave behind with people that reach out to you, or follow you on social media? Do you leave them feeling hopeful? Do you leave them feeling like you can give them the solution they’ve been wishing for?

I want you to sit back and think about the following:

1. Do your blogs reach your audience, and make them feel a certain way?
2. Are you just tossing and sharing information out there without any personal story behind it?
3. Does your website express who you are, and how you can impact your client’s lives?
4. Is your social media really social? Are you engaging in your posts? Are you interacting with your followers? Are you following up? Are you sharing information that relates to your audience?

Tip #2. Master your own story. In order for people to get to know you they have to know your story. Where have you been? What have you gone through? How did you get through it? How can you help them?

Grab a notebook, and jot all these Q’s & A’s down. Your business is about to change, for the better.

Sharing my own personal story was something that didn’t come easy, but I knew I had to share it so that people could get to know me, and so I could provide them with hope. I wanted people to know that they could still be healthy with an autoimmune and a slew of other symptoms. I wanted them to know that the light at the end of the tunnel actually could exist.

Tip #3. Craft your signature offering. I don’t know if you have one of the done for you programs I’ve created, but I’m here to tell you that no matter what your offering is or what program you are using – you can make it happen. When you create your signature offering whether this is a 3 month or 6 month, or a 14 day detox or a 28 day clean eating program – that when you master the art of presenting you will bring in the clients.

So, how do you master the art of presenting? It’s pretty simple. So simple – it may actually blow our mind. See, you’ve been stuck in the rule book mindset for too long my friends. Ditch the rules. You don’t need to follow the plan of how many posts to share in one day, or how many blogs to post in a week, or even how many newsletters to send out. When you speak to your audience and provide them with the hope to be healthy, and let them know you are their support for “X” struggle – you’ve mastered the art of business. All you have to do is – be yourself.

For today, I want you to answer all these questions in this email and really hone in on your story, your offerings, and share emotions that you may even have to step outside of your own comfort zone to do so. Do it anyway.

Remember, you got this.

I heart you,

Rachel
