Nothing is sexier these days than a Green Smoothie Bowl – I swear it makes drinking smoothies fun and different. Plus, you can load up on the superfoods, toppings and helps to chew the smoothie.
Do you ever notice how easy it is to drink a smoothie so fast you get bloated? When you BOWL your smoothie…you can avoid this mishap.
THE GREEN SMOOTHIE BOWL
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
1/2 avocado
1 banana
2 large handfuls spinach **
1 cup kale **
1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
1 tablespoon flax meal
Grain Free Granola
Chia seeds
Mango
Shredded Coconut if you desire – OMG nom nom.
Instructions
Add smoothie to a high speed blender, then put into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.
NOTE: ** Blanch Greens if thyroid issues are present as goitrogen vegetables can be an issue for many. I learned this one the hard way.
Got sugar issues? Simply omit the banana and use a whole avocado and exchange the mango for berries or top with grapefruit or green apple or just FAT this baby up with some coconut and hemp seeds.
