I love frozen drinks in the summer. I also love my coffee but coffee can deplete the adrenals and is acidic for the body. Instead of needing an afternoon coffee fix, you can make this awesome No Sugar Vegan Chai Latte.
I was the Queen of Latte’s at my favorite coffee chains until I realized I was intolerant to soy and it was hampering my thyroid. I knew dairy was an issue for me over 20 years ago, but then I joined the Soy Train and did some damage as soy inhibits the thyroid.
Not only does this drink taste amazing but it is costs effective.
Not only is this drink easy to make but your body will not be drained from drinking that extra cup of coffee later in the afternoon. This sweet and guilt free drink is your home run pick me loaded with natural spices, fat and fiber – all key ingredients for keeping your blood sugar balanced.
To Make the No Sugar Vegan Chai Latte:
- 1 cup dairy free milk (I love coconut milk)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cloves
- Few drops of stevia if desired
- 8 ice cubes
Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients in a high speed blender. Top with a spoonful of coconut milk and enjoy your frothy drink.
If you desire, you can just add this drink to a glass with Ice. Either way you have a home run and a home run that is healthy for you.
