Mending my soul and letting go of comparison.

free RW 2

It took me years to let go of this stuff….
“What would you think of me?”
“What if I said this?”
“Would they like me?”

Building a business for myself has been the best therapy because it forced me to face my fears — the what if’s.

I had to realize all of those what if’s were bleeding my soul and taking away from what I needed in my life – to care without caring.

I know this may sound crazy but it is true. I had to step into my existence and my truth to hold power for my babies and my clients.

How could I hold power for another coach building a business if I was caring about what you thought of me?

How could I bring up my babies to be self-confident if I was caring what you thought of me?

I had to stop comparing myself to anyone but ME.

This meant not looking at other people’s websites or marketing at some points and only focus on what I needed to do.

Some people do not have that chatter (but I do and have my whole life) — this is the chatter I see COACHES get them stuck or have them quit on their dreams — it is the comparing and waiting for the perfect moment to build your DREAM.

I had to let go and have faith. Not faith as in religion but faith in myself as a woman, a mom, a sister, and a coach.

The what if’s lead to a diseased way of thinking and a life of comparison.

What if that stopped now? This second it stops your soul is set on fire.

The second is stops for me, I felt free. I cried. I screamed happiness. I felt chills in my body. My face started to glow. The bags went away. My hair got healthier.

My kids (because we all know they are so tied to us) got stronger. My relationship with my hubby got better (and I had no idea that could even happen) because I have the best relationship with that man (God, I love him). But, the what if’s were bleeding me dry. Ditch the what if’s with me.

Ditch the what if’s with me sister. Ditch the what if with me brother. Imagine that world where we all exist without the what if’s. There is not a word to describe that one.

BUILD that dream – do not quit. Let go of the chatter even when it is loud. WE all have fears and some of us talk more about them – and this is one of the reasons I adore Mastin Kipp and Marie Forleo – they are so open about fears and what it takes to go after dreams.

Love, Rach
