The Secret to Healthy Digestion!

I have so many clients who think I am crazy when I tell them not to drink with their meals. Drinking with your meals dilutes your naturally occurring digestive enzymes and stomach acids, which can lead to bloating. Instead, eat your breakfast and save that Alkaline Smoothie for 45 minutes later or vice versa.

Life for me really changed when I started to balance acid and alkaline foods with my meals as well. If you are going to eat the egg alone, then add some sea vegetables. My favorite ones are made by Maine Coast Sea Sprinkles and you can buy them on amazon or at Whole Foods. By adding this alkalizing sea vegetable to your egg, you are eating in balance.

We all have acid wastes that lead to indigestion, sickness and even disease but when you add this alkalizing sea vegetable to your hard boiled egg (and they do not taste bad t all), digestion improves.

I make sure I drink a Green Juice, Green Smoothie or water with chlorophyll 45 minutes after my meal because I suffered for years with belly bloat, even after a small meal. Try not drinking with your meals and see how it works for you.

It is suggested to drink 45 minutes before or after a meal to ensure healthy digestion. If you have chronic digestive distress, you can also add 1 tablespoon of raw braggs apples cider vinegar to 8 ounce of water and sip 45 minutes before a meal to enhance digestive enzymes.

To make this awesome smoothie:
• 1 c water or unsweetened almond/coconut/hemp/rice milk
• ½ avocado
• Handful of parsley
• 1 cup spinach
• 1-2 tbl ground flax/chia
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ½ tsp vanilla (optional)
• ½ cup ice
