We are choco lovers. My kids, myself and now I want you to be a choco lover with a little extra yum yum: adding essential oils.
There is no reason to go without when you can make “healthy brownies”. I found this recipe from Josh Axe a while back, and I make them on a regular basis but this time, I added 10 drops of doTERRA peppermint essential oils and home run! I made a few changes and added my personal touches to make them out of this world excellent. These brownies are low in sugar. Great for the family. Great for you and great for me.
RECIPE
- 1 can black beans
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin coconut oil
- 1/2 cup birch tree xylitol
- 2 level teaspoon stevia powder
- 2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 3 large free range eggs
- 1/2 cup gluten-free flour
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 10 drops doTerra Peppermint Essential Oils
Blend all ingredients together. Grease pan with coconut oil and bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Plus, your family will not even know chia seeds are in these brownies. Did you chia seeds are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, plus manganese, calcium, and phosphorus? Just one ounce of chia seeds contains 11 grams of fiber, so they are wonderful for relieving constipation and improving heart health.
Chia is at 825 on the ORAC scale (a measure of antioxidant capacity), which is the same ORAC level as broccoli. This powerful seed is known to support the elimination of toxins and bad cholesterol.
